Tassie’s Devil Keeper Competition

Devil Named

Well who’d have thought a cheeky little Devil from Cradle Mountain would have attracted so much attention – and creative competition entries! Thank you to everyone who applied for what has arguably been one of Australia’s most hotly contested positions for 2017.

And now the moment you have all been waiting for… (Drumroll please!)

The winner of the Tassie’s Devil Keeper competition is –

Anna from Canberra, who chose the name Deny – ‘In honour of Charles Denison (Deny) King, Tasmanian bushman, naturalist, artist and environmentalist. His efforts assisted the recognition of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.’

Stay tuned, as Deny’s – and now Anna’s – adventures have only just begun! We look forward to sharing their story and more of Cradle Mountain with you in the coming months.

In the meantime, if you find you’re still in need a dose of Tassie cuteness, your options are endless! Here are just some the opportunities available as you Discover Tasmania.

Thank you.
