THE LiTTLE TASSiE BATTLER

The little penguin colony from Low Head in Tasmania’s north east, have faced enormous challenges, like the devastating Iron Baron oil spill in ’95. However, they’ve always found a way to survive and even thrive. Shirley, from Low Head Penguin Tours, will introduce you to these adorable creatures and share their story of tragedy and triumph. Under the protection of darkness, you’ll see the penguins emerge from the water, preen themselves and waddle up to their burrows near the Low Head Lighthouse, before rising again to live another day.
